"This is a dramatic photo, Mr. President. It shows an operating room lit only by the flashlight of a cell phone. This is the result of the U.S. energy blockade against Cuba," said Bruno Rodríguez Parrilla, Cuba's Minister of Foreign Affairs.
"There's no American blockade. It's fake. It's false. It's a lie," said Mike Waltz, U.S. Ambassador to the UN. "The regime could choose to listen. But it did not. Instead, it chose to imprison 800 of its own people."
"Mr. Waltz has spoken about arbitrary detentions, human rights, repression, and others. I want to show this photo," Rodríguez Parrilla said. "This didn't happen in Cuba, Mr. President. It happened in the United States, during an ICE raid."
"ICE detains a five-year-old boy. The boy is Liam Conejo. Here he is being held by an ICE agent. This did not happen in Cuba," the Foreign Minister said.
"This woman cannot be released from custody because she was killed by ICE, cruelly and in cold blood," he concluded.
