Are U.S. Journalists Getting "Played"?

U.S. Deputy Press Secretary Anna Kelly posted this week that the media was being “played” by anonymous sources who describe the administration’s plans for Cuba.

Kelly’s comments echo Rubio’s recent rebuke of a New York Times reportclaiming the U.S. is looking to force the removal of Cuban President Miguel Díaz-Canel for negotiations to advance, quoting “four people familiar with the talks.”

Rubio called the report “fake news” and its sources “charlatans & liars.”
