Cuba’s Top Diplomat: Rubio Serves Personal Agenda, Not U.S. Interests

Cuba’s FM Bruno Rodríguez presented the country’s annual report on the impact of U.S. sanctions, and accused Secretary of State Marco Rubio of pushing a personal, politically motivated agenda tied to corrupt Florida interests.

The U.S. Secretary of State is pushing a politically motivated personal agenda, tied to dark and corrupt interests rooted especially in Florida, expressed Bruno Rodríguez, Foreign Affairs Minister
This Secretary is a fraudulent figure. He wasn’t born in Cuba, has never set foot in Cuba, knows nothing about Cuba—and he has lied about his parents, claiming they fled the Cuban Revolution, when in fact they emigrated long before January 1959, the minister added.
By doing so, Rodríguez said, he pits the U.S. government—including the National Security Council, the State Department, the military, and the intelligence community—against the national interests of his own country, and against the will of American citizens, taxpayers, and voters,” Cuba’s top diplomat stressed.
